Waltham Street Again Invites Businesses This Season
Moody Street is a key commercial district, and new traffic rules may again help businesses there.
WALTHAM, MA — Downtown visitors will again have access in both traffic directions on Moody Street, making it easier to frequent businesses there this spring and summer.
The city’s Traffic Commission has voted to reapprove the use of sidewalks and parking lanes in front of businesses for outdoor dining or retail activity, according to a notice Monday afternoon. The extension begins May 22 and runs through Sept. 7.
Businesses still need to apply for permission to make use of the allowance.
