Waltham Clothing Exchange Spring Season Opens Feb 11, 10-1:15
Consignment/Thrift Store. Like a garage sale, something for every one and household. Open Tuesdays only, 10 to 4:30 starting Feb 18.
We had a great Fall/Winter Season that closed Jan 14. The opening hours on Tuesday, February 11, are only from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Regular hours of 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. are every Tuesday starting February 18. There will be a special Saturday opening on May 2, 10 am to 2 pm. The Spring Season ends with the Half-Price Sale on May 12 and the final Clearance Sale on May 19 (10 am to 1 pm). Although we are just opening the Spring Season, we have processed several hundred donations we were saving for the new season. Of special interest is new women’s clothing in 2xl and 3xl sizes, some men’s large size clothing (including sweatshirts, sweat pants and tshirts from Lands End in packages), loads of socks, and linens.
Come and shop the bargains on used and vintage men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, purses, books, videos, toys, jewelry, and housewares that come to us from our consignors and from donations. The shop, located at First Parish Church, 50 Church St., at the rear of our School Street parking lot, is handicapped accessible. MBTA Bus 70A stop, Lexington St/School St. Enjoying our 64th year of operation!
Consignors can bring items to consign on Tuesdays up to 1:15 pm. Becoming a consignor is easy, come in and fill out a card to get a consignor number. Consignors get two thirds of the asking price, the rest benefits First Parish in Waltham. Our staff helps you determine the prices for your items. Up to six items per week can be brought in, with a total of 48 for the season. Items not sold prior to the Half-Price Sale can be taken back home (by May 5), otherwise they become a donation to the Waltham Clothing Exchange. Commissions are paid twice a season, and can be picked up the following season if you are away.
