Waltham Company Creates Noise-Canceling 'Bubble' for Better Night's Sleep

Cambridge Sound Management has started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the Nightingale.

WALTHAM, MA – Light sleepers may have found a close ally in one Waltham-based company dedicated to creating a product that places users in a soundproof "bubble."

The Nightingale is comprised of two speakers that emit an even sound wave and mask common indoor and outdoor noises, such as animals, cars, music and snoring. The resulting effect is a "bubble" of silence that adjusts to the fit of the room.

First reported by CBS Boston, the developers of the Nightingale, Cambridge Sound Management, have started a Kickstarter campaign with a goal of $100,000 by Nov. 6. To date, it has raised $30,475.
