Waltham Company Praised By Oprah To Launch Black Friday Sale

WALTHAM, MA — The Waltham-based artisanal food company Eastern Standard Provisions, which has its Gourmet Liège Belgian Waffle Gift Box featured on made Oprah's Favorite Things 2021 holiday gift list, will launch a Black Friday sale starting on Thanksgiving and lasting through Cyber Monday.

During the sale, which will run from 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 25 through midnight on Nov. 29, all holiday gift boxes, including the company's infamous waffle box, will be 50 percent off with the promo code BFCM50.

The Oprah's Favorite Things list is an annual holiday shopping guide that features decadent desserts, ingenious gadgets, and the finest finds in home, fashion, and beauty. This year marks the list's 25th Anniversary.

"Send the gift of brunch to loved ones who live too far to spend the holidays with," said Oprah on OprahDaily.com. "Belgian waffles are a crowd-pleaser—especially when they come with strawberries and cream topping, dark chocolate fudge, and peanut butter caramel sauce."

This is the second time Eastern Standard Provisions has made the Oprah's Favorite Things List. In 2019, the company's Gourmet Soft Pretzel Gift Box was also selected in the list, making the brand one of only a handful of food companies that have been named to the list twice.
