WALTHAM, MA — One Waltham police officer is injured after a crash on Totten Pond Road. A police cruiser was also stolen, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

State police shared that an investigation is underway at 6:41 p.m. on Wednesday after a "serious crash" that injured both a Waltham police officer and contractor at a detail site.

The suspect, who is now in custody after a foot pursuit, stole a Waltham police cruiser, which he crashed after fleeing the scene.
