Waltham to Dedicate Veterans Building to Frank Berinato Saturday

Berinato, who lived in Waltham from 1953 until his death in 2014, was a World War II veteran and fought in the famous Battle of the Bulge.

WALTHAM, MA – The City of Waltham will hold a formal dedication of the Frank V. Berinato Veterans Building this Saturday, Sept. 17.

Hosted by the Waltham City Council, Joseph Giordano, chair of the Veterans Service Committee, and Mayor Jeanette McCarthy, all are invited the attend the ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m.

Berinato was a veteran of some of World War II's fiercest battles, including the liberation of Metz and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a resident of Waltham for more than 60 years after the war.

Berinato died in 2014 at the age of 97.

The building and dedication ceremony are located at the 18 Prospect Hill Ave. extension/Columbus Avenue. The event is rain or shine.
