Waltham Dems To Host First Event Of Election Season 2023

WALTHAM, MA — With candidates for election having filed their nomination paperwork, it's safe to say that election season is here in Waltham. That will become even more true at the end of this week.

The Waltham Democratic City Committee will hold a Meet the Candidates event at Stonehurst, Robert Treat Paine Estate, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The informal event is free and open to the public, and will provide the opportunity to meet the candidates seeking municipal offices, including Mayor, City Council and School Committee, according to committee officials.

The Waltham City Clerk’s office is scheduled to finalize the list of candidates eligible for the ballot on July 21, meaning this can be considered the first official event of the 2023 municipal election season.
