Stephen Duffy will assume administrative duties July 1.

WALTHAM, MA – Whittemore School assistant principal Stephen Duffy will serve as interim principal of Plympton Elementary School, Waltham Superintendent of Schools Drew Echelson announced this week. Duffy will assume administrative duties July 1.

Duffy succeeds Principal Maureen Taddeo, who announced her retirement earlier this year. In a letter to parents, Echelson described him as an "experienced school administrator with a strong background as an effective school leader."

"He is committed to life-long learning by deepening his understanding of instruction, seeking out best practices and learning in a collaborative environment," Echelson wrote.
