The city announced Friday that how residents choose to celebrate Halloween is up to them.

WALTHAM, MA — The City of Waltham announced Friday that trick-or-treat and other Halloween celebrations will be left up to residents this year.

Halloween in Waltham will be celebrated on Sunday, October 31. However, the city does not designate specific hours for trick-or-treating, allowing parents to decide on the timing.

"How you choose to celebrate Halloween this year, whether traditionally, modified, or with a lower risk activity, is up to you," said city officials.
