Waltham Heroes: Help Patch Recognize People Making A Difference
We all know someone who's making a difference in Waltham amid pandemic. Let's give them some of the recognition they deserve.
WALTHAM, MA — Countless people are putting themselves in danger by simply showing up to work in essential roles for our communities, risking possible infection from the new coronavirus. Doctors, nurses, police, fire and grocery store workers are just a few of the types of professions with a high potential for exposure to the virus, but out there day in and day out helping others.
Some of these everyday heroes we spot around town might not even be working at one of those jobs, like this Newton woman who organized an entire city to show solidarity on what would have been Marathon Monday. Or those who help with connecting neighbors to each other to get and give help.
We know you've encountered or seen them around town, and we want to help recognize as many of these heroes as possible. Let us know about those making a difference in this difficult time by filling out the form below and we'd be happy to share their impact with the rest of the community.
