Waltham High School Cheerleading Wins Division 2 State Championship
The Hawks took their first-ever state championship Sunday.

WALTHAM, MA – The Waltham High School cheerleading team took first place in the Division 2 State Championship Sunday, a milestone for the Hawks squad.
The team looked to build on the success of its 2015-16 season, where it captured the Dual County League title, the Division 2 North Regional title and a national divisional title, according to the Waltham News Tribune.
Having come in third last year at states, the Hawks were hungry for that elusive state title. And they came up big Sunday, capturing the first state championship for the program.
