Waltham High School Football Opening Night, Schedule 2023

WALTHAM, MA — The first week of school marks the hard end of summer vacation, but the new school year doesn't really round into form until the first kickoff on a Friday night.

That day will come tomorrow for the Waltham High School football team, who will play an away game at Newton North on Friday. Waltham will play their first home game the following week against Winchester.

The Thanksgiving Day game for Waltham is set to return in 2023 as well, with a 10 a.m. kickoff scheduled for an away game at Arlington.

Here's the full 2023 schedule for the Waltham High School football team, according to MaxPreps:

• Sept. 8 at Newton North, 4:30 p.m.
• Sept. 14 vs. Winchester, 7 p.m.
• Sept. 22 vs. Concord-Carlisle, 7 p.m.
• Sept. 29 at Acton-Boxborough, 6:30 p.m.
• Oct. 6 vs. Westford Academy, 7 p.m.
• Oct. 13 at Wayland, 6 p.m.
• Oct. 19 at Newton South, 6 p.m.
• Oct. 28 vs. Bedford, 1 p.m.
• Thanksgiving Day at Arlington, 10 a.m.
