Waltham to Hold Three Public Hearings on High School Construction
The city hopes to finalize a preferred option for either building a new school or renovating the existing one.
WALTHAM, MA – Waltham is in the process of deciding whether to renovate the current Waltham High School or build a new one, and the city is looking to finalize its preferred option by the end of September.
Ahead of that, there will be three community meetings on the city's options, which include renovating the current school and building a new school on the land the current one sits.
A third option was to build on 50 acres of the Fernald land, although according to a recent report from the Waltham News Tribune, those plans have likely been scrapped due to time constraints.
