WALTHAM, MA — The new year is underway, and Waltham's political officials will also start the new year as of this weekend.

Waltham has set an inauguration for Sunday, when the city will see the swearing-in of councilors and Mayor Jeannette McCarthy at 1 p.m.

The ceremony will be held on the front steps of City Hall, 610 Main St., and will be followed by a light luncheon reception inside City Hall.
