Tonight: Waltham Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Here's what you need to know about the tree lighting ceremony Nov. 25.

WALTHAM, MA – The holiday season will soon be in full swing, and Waltham is wasting no time putting up its Christmas tree.
The city will hold a tree lighting ceremony Friday, Nov. 25 at the Waltham Common. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by the Waltham American Legion Brass Quartet and games and giveaways from 103.3 AMP Radio.
At 6 p.m., the Waltham High School Show Choirs will treat the crowd to some holiday staples, and a special guest (hint: he wears red and has a flowing white beard) will appear after the lighting. So parents, make sure you bring your cameras.

The Waltham Women's Club has provided a mailbox for kids to drop off their letters to Santa, which will be accepting submissions at the Common until Dec. 18. And make sure to leave a return address on those letters to make it easier on St. Nick.
