Waltham Man, 27, Arrested in Boston On Gun, Drug Charges: Police

George Piere-Charles was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and several bags of marijuana and crack cocaine as well as cash.

BOSTON, MA – A 27-year-old Waltham man was arrested by Boston Police officers Wednesday night and will be charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm, unlawfully possessing ammunition and with possessing drugs with the intent to distribute, the Boston Police Department announced Thursday.

George Pierre-Charles was arrested without incident on the firearms and gun charges after officers working the Brighton neighborhood had reason to believe the man was in possession of an illegal firearm, police said. Officers were able to locate and stop Pierre-Charles without incident and were able to recover a loaded .25 caliber handgun, a large bag of marijuana, two smaller bags of marijuana as well as a plastic bag containing seven individual bags of crack cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Pierre-Charles was arrested and will appear in Brighton District Court on the drug and gun charges.
