Waltham Man Apprehended After Fleeing Lexington Traffic Stop
The Waltham man was wanted on multiple warrants including firearm possession and receiving stolen property, police said.
LEXINGTON, MA — A Waltham man with outstanding warrants was apprehended after he fled a traffic stop in another Massachusetts community, police said.
Christopher Politis, 52, of Waltham, was at a rest stop on Route 128 in Lexington around 5 p.m. on Monday when officers from the Massachusetts State Police approached his car.
Officials said when officers tried to speak with him, Politis got out of the car and fled into a nearby neighborhood, initially evading police.

However, a search of the area led to his eventual arrest by Lexington police in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Wood Street.
