Waltham Man Arrested for DUI in Framingham: Report

Sean Kennedy allegedly crashed into a utility pole Sunday, according to a MetroWest Daily News report.

WALTHAM, MA – A Waltham man was hit with a DUI charge following a crash in Framingham early New Year's Day, according to a MetroWest Daily News report.

Sean Kennedy, 29, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, driving to endanger and a marked lanes violation after crashing into a utility pole. He allegedly failed several sobriety tests at the scene and blew a 0.17 on the portable breath test, the Daily News reported.

The legal limit is 0.08, though a portable breath test is not admissible in court.

Kennedy refused to take a Breathalyzer test and will have his license suspended for 180 months, according to the report. Both at the police station and at his arraignment Tuesday, Kennedy allegedly accepted full responsibility for his actions and agreed there was sufficient evidence to convict him, according to the Daily News.
