Waltham Man Brandished BB Gun During Road Rage Incident: Police
Jason Madden was arrested Friday after police say he pointed the pellet gun at another driver.

WALTHAM, MA - Police say a Waltham man pulled out a BB gun and pointed it at another driver during an alleged road rage incident on Friday.
Jason Madden, 34, is accused of brandishing the weapon during the altercation, which resulted after Madden allegedly cut another driver off, police said.
The incident began after the alleged victim confronted Madden when they were side-by-side at the intersection of Trapelo Road and Lexington Street, according to court documents cited by the Waltham News Tribune.

The driver told police Madden then pointed the BB gun at him, which he believed to be a real gun. Police said Madden threatened to shoot the man and continued to exchange words with him as the two drove down Lexington Street.
Madden and the other driver ultimately got into a minor traffic accident further down the road. The driver then called the police and told them Madden had a gun. According to documents cited by the News Tribune, police responded and drew their weapons on both men, ordering them to lie prone on the ground.

Police asked to search Madden's car and found a black BB gun with a black tip underneath the driver seat loaded with steel BBs, a container with steel BBs in the car and a long black baton on the side of the drivers seat, according to the documents.
Madden also told police he did not have a license to carry. He was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime.
