Waltham Man Charged With Child Pornography

Christopher Sullivan admitted to law enforcement he spoke with more than 50 boys and received 200 pictures over web-based messengers.

WALTHAM, MA - A local man is behind bars Wednesday, accused of using web-based messaging platforms to engage in sexually explicit conversations and exchange explicit pictures with young boys.

Christopher Sullivan was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

According to a Department of Justice release, the 20-year-old admitted to law enforcement that he spoke with more than 50 boys and received more than 200 sexually explicit pictures on the online messaging sites Omegle, Skype and Kik Messenger.

Sullivan also admitted to engaging in sexual acts with a boy, the release stated.

He is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court Friday for a detention hearing. Sullivan's charges carry a minimum mandatory sentence of five years and up to 20 years in prison, a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
