Waltham Man Charged with Attempted Murder

The following information comes from the Waltham Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Israel Tax-Tiu, 28, of 139 Adams St., Waltham, was arrested at 5:16 a.m. Saturday, May 24, and charged with attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (two counts) and assault and battery (two counts).

Monday, June 2

Kathy McCarthy, 50, of 121 Chestnut St., Waltham, was arrested at 8:05 p.m. Monday and charged with shoplifting by asportation.

John Drewry, 64, of 22 Wakullah St., Boston, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Monday and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.

Sunday, June 1

Robert Woodland, 31, of 294 River St., Waltham, was arrested at 11:37 p.m. Sunday and charged with assault and battery. Woodland also had a warrant for having an uninsured motor vehicle (three counts), having an unregistered motor vehicle (two counts), having a suspended/revoked motor vehicle registration, concealing his license plate and failure to yield at an intersection.

Robert Cadman, 50, of 71 Fuller St., Waltham, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Sunday and charged with assault and battery.

Saturday, May 31

Matthew Nutile, 21, of 109 Cushing St., Waltham, was arrested at 3:39 a.m. Saturday and charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession to distribute a drug.

Kevin McKenzie, 23, of 73 Myrtle St., Waltham, was arrested at 3:27 a.m. Saturday and charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace.

Luis Santamaria, 18, of 12 Exchange Court, Waltham, was arrested at 12:18 a.m. Saturday and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Friday, May 30

Amy Beth Ventrice, 29, of 5 River Road, Somerville, was arrested at 10:16 p.m. Friday and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

Thursday, May 29

Jemica Durant, 38, of 455 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Thursday and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked license and a U-turn violation. Durant also had a warrant for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and violation of an abuse prevention order.

Wednesday, May 28

Thomas Keane, 54, of 81 Alder St., Waltham, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Rafael Fuentes, 34, of 54 Walnut St., Waltham, was arrested at 2:02 p.m. Wednesday and charged with assault and battery on a child with injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Monday, May 26

Brianna Cristoforo, 20, of 84 Manor Ave., Wellesley, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Monday and charged with assault and battery.

Sunday, May 25

Stephen Komins, 46, of 3 Chase Road, Stoneham, was arrested at 10:42 p.m. Sunday and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked license and a marked lanes violation.

Saturday, May 24

Alexandra Cremone, 20, of 60 Center Road, Chichester, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for possession of a Class A drug, larceny from a person, receiving a stolen credit card and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Bonnie Walsh, 34, of 49 Rich St., Waltham, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Saturday and charged with operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (first offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage.

Friday, May 23

Bernardino Aguilar, 53, of 54 Walnut St., Waltham, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Friday and charged with operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (first offense).

Justin Downey, 33, of 38 Middlesex St., Quincy, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. Friday and charged with uttering a false prescription.

Wednesday, May 21

Aaron Winchell, 42, of 8 Farnham St., Boston, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

Gilbert Martinez, 27, of 64 Calvary St., Waltham, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday and charged with burning a motor vehicle.

Tuesday, May 20

James Cochrane, 57, of 3610 Mystic Valley Parkway, Medford, was arrested at 7:08 a.m. Tuesday and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order and threat to commit a crime.

Amanda Babineau, 40, of 247 Bacon St., Waltham, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60/disabled (two counts).

Monday, May 19

Deborah Barrios, 43, of 46 Exchange St., Waltham, was arrested at 2:13 p.m. Monday and charged with assault and battery. Barrios also had a warrant for possession of a Class E drug and shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
