Waltham Man Co-Stars With Patriots Quarterback Drake Maye: Report

The pro football player, whose most famous TV appearance was probably last month's Super Bowl LX, plays the lead in a new pizza commercial.

WALTHAM, MA — A local man who played football at Waltham High School will soon appear in a television commercial with New England Patriots superstar Drake Maye.

Luke France met Maye last week after winning a sweepstakes sponsored by pizzeria chain Papa Gino’s, the Waltham Times reported.

The Dedham-based company asked contestants to explain what they’d tell Maye while sharing a slice of pizza. The online promotion drew thousands of entries.

“I would thank Drake Maye for changing my life,” France wrote in his winning submission – but said he’d urge the NFL quarterback not to overindulge on slices.

France, who was a lineman for Waltham High and later helped coach the team, met Maye last week and took part in a Papa Gino’s commercial with him.
