Waltham Man Wins $1 Million On Lottery Ticket

NEWTON, MA — A Waltham man won $1 million off a $5 scratch ticket he bought at a 7 Eleven in Newton.

Nicholas Dickens won on the "Diamond Mine 50x" instant game ticket he bought at the 7 Eleven at 612 Washington St. Dickens chose the cash option on his prize and was awarded a one-time payment of $650,000 after taxes.

The Newton store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. This was the first $1 millon ticket sold for the "Diamond Mine 50x" game. The Mass Lottery said there are still two more out there.
