Waltham Offers Free Parking For Veterans

The City of Waltham is proud to offer free parking in the municipal parking lots for vehicles with a Veteran license plate, as a way to show our appreciation for those who have served in the armed forces of our nation. Waltham provides this as a small way to honor and respect service members who have sacrificed for our nation’s defense.

This free parking is offered for qualified vehicles (displaying the Veteran license plate) at any time on any day, within a marked parking space in any municipal lot. However, if a parking space has a limited duration allowed, the vehicle must adhere to that maximum time limit (for example, if the space is a two-hour space, the Veteran’s vehicle may not park there for greater than two hours).

All Veteran license plates (including Bronze Star, Silver Star, Purple Heart, Ex-POW, etc.) qualify for the free parking.
