Waltham One of Ten Best Small Cities With World-Class Food Scenes
A recent list by website Thrillist ranked the culinary prowess of ten cities in the United States with populations under 100,000.

Waltham, MA – As anyone from Waltham can tell you, walk down Moody Street and you'll end up indulging your taste buds even if you didn't plan on eating.
But now the rest of the country seems to be taking note of Waltham's booming culinary industry, as the Watch City has landed on the "10 Small Cities With World-Class Food Scenes" list from website Thrillist.
Thrillist cites the melting pot that is Moody Street - offering Salvadoran, Japanese, Vietnamese, Caribbean, Italian, West African, Mexican and more cuisine from around the world - as Waltham's main draw.

"But really, you wouldn't be faulted for just hopping from one place to another, sampling food and developing a strong urge to travel the world," the website writes. "When you're done you'll feel like you already did."
Thrillist also highlights Waltham's status as a college town, with students flocking to downtown from Brandeis and Bentley.

In order to be considered for the list, cities must have a population below 100,000; Waltham's is 62,000.
