Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. WALTHAM, MA — Waltham police are searching for a missing 67-year-old man who was last seen near Lake Street on Wednesday, July 14. Police say William MacDonald was headed towards the Santander Bank on Trapelo Rd. and made a transaction before he went missing. He has not been seen or heard from since. MacDonald is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds with gray hair, said police. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Waltham Police at 781-314-3600.
