Waltham Police Welcome New Officers

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham's police force just grew by two officers.

The department welcomed two new officers in Kevin O'Brien and Shane Hurley during a recent ceremony. O'Brien and Hurley recently graduated from the police academy.

In Hurley's case, his employment with the department adds to his family legacy in Waltham.

Hurley joins his mother, Officer Brenda Hurley, a 30-year veteran of the department, and his step-father, retired deputy police chief Paul Juliano, as a member of the Waltham Police Department, officials said.
