Waltham Popcorn to Open Thursday

Both conservative and adventurous popcorn lovers will be able to find something tasty among the shop's catalogue of flavors.

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham Popcorn will officially open on Main Street Thursday, months after the rumor mill had it slated for a July grand opening.

The shop is the brainchild of Waltham resident Miriam Cohen Franzen, who will begin dishing out a variety of popped kernel flavors from 901 B Main St. on Thursday. Franzen had tentatively scheduled an opening for over the summer, but ultimately pushed it to October.

Her shop will feature several popcorn flavors, ranging from the classic – butter and salt, to the adventurous – fruit basket. In June, Franzen said she was also in the process of getting certified to serve kosher and halal flavors, as well.
