Learn Smart Spending Tips at Waltham Public Library Next Week
The library is hosting three financial literacy courses as part of the nation's Money Smart Week.

WALTHAM, MA - The Waltham Public Library will hold three financial literacy courses next week to guide those seeking to make smart moneymaking decisions.
The classes will take place during the nation's Money Smart Week, which is being held in partnership between the American Library Association and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to advise consumers about how to better manage their personal wealth.
The three courses will be held April 26, 27 and 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The first class, "Get Money, Stay Paid: How to Be a Teen Mogul" seeks to instill positive spending habits and smart saving decisions in those just beginning to enter the workforce.

Wednesday's course, "How to Buy a Home," will be hosted by a panel that includes mortgage lender Timothy Tuttle from East Cambridge Savings Bank, Realtor Annette Reynolds from Keller Williams, attorney Stephen Kearney from the Rogaris Law Office and home inspector Sally Wetzler of Inspector Homes. It aims to provide those seeking to purchase their first home with advice on how to navigate the real estate market.
And the final class, "Exploring Your Options for a Quality Retirement" will supply those nearing retirement tips on how to manage their social security and health care after exiting the workforce. The course will be led by John Hollosy, CEP and local chapter President of Society For Financial Awareness for the Metro West area.

The classes will be held in the library's lecture hall on Tuesday and Wednesday; Thursday's course will be taught in the building's Waltham Room.
