Waltham Resident Takes Dean Role at Salem State

Lauren Hubachek has been named assistant dean of Student Experience and Transition.

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham resident Lauren Hubachek has been named assistant dean of Student Experience and Transition at Salem State University, building on her role as director of Career Services.

Hubachek has served as director of Career Services since 2012. In her expanded role, she will be responsible for creating a student formula for success, overseeing new student orientation and being the liaison with major departments on campus.

"Taking on this role gives me an opportunity to be even more involved in a students’ experiences on campus, beginning with first-year student orientation," Hubachek said in a statement. "Working with my wonderful staff, we are encouraging students to develop skills that will last a lifetime."

Hubachek has been a board member of Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC), a domestic violence support organization, since 2015. Prior to coming to Salem State, Hubachek was the associate director of Employer Relations at Florida International University.
