Waltham’s RTN Credit Union Provides Dinner At Local Soup Kitchen
The RTN Employees Community Outreach Committee provided dinner on March 15 for men and women at the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen.

WALTHAM, MA — The RTN Federal Credit Union Employees Community Outreach Committee provided dinner on March 15 for men and women at the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham.
To comply with COVID safety precautions, RTN staff delivered 3-foot-long submarine sandwiches, hot Delmonico potatoes, and a sweet treat for dessert to Bristol Lodge staff who then packaged to-go meals for individuals to pick up.
Bristol Lodge is one of the local non-profit organizations and charities that the Employees Community Outreach Committee supports regularly through personal donations and contributions of RTN employees’ time.

"Our long-time involvement with Bristol Lodge is the embodiment of our employees’ volunteer spirit,” said Robin Hartnett, RTN Director of Human Resources and Committee Chair, in a statement. “We are fortunate to work for an organization and an industry that is committed to community every day, especially during these challenging times.”
Bristol Lodge is a program of the Middlesex Human Service Agency, which is an RTN sponsor group. In addition to its partnership with the Greater Boston Food Bank, the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen relies on food donations from volunteer groups and community partners.

Located at Immanuel United Methodist Church on Moody Street, the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen has been serving hot, nutritious meals every evening Monday through Friday between 4:30 and 5:30 pm to those in need for three decades.
