Waltham’s Seniors Helping Seniors Named Top Place To Work
"Top Places to Work" recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state, voted on by their own employees.
WALTHAM, MA — Seniors Helping Seniors, Greater Boston & Metrowest has been named one of the "Top Places to Work" in Massachusetts in the 14th annual survey project from The Boston Globe.
“Top Places to Work” recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state, voted on by their own employees. The survey measures opinions on each company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement.
Employers are placed into one of four groups based on the number of employees they have and Seniors Helping Seniors was ranked number three in the medium employer category, which includes companies with 100 to 249 workers.

"We are thrilled to be honored again as a 'Top Places to Work' in Massachusetts,” said Josh Obeiter, Executive Director and Owner of Seniors Helping Seniors, Greater Boston & Metrowest, in a statement. "We're a bit different from the traditional employer as the average age of our employees is 67. While we believe that age is just a number, we also view it as our most strategic advantage. Our workforce is full of engaged older adults with diverse and rich life experiences that allow them to connect and relate more deeply while providing care and enhancing the quality of life of the clients that they serve.”

The rankings in "Top Places to Work" are based on confidential survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. The winners share a few key traits, including offering more flexibility to continue working remotely and tracking progress on efforts to support a diverse workforce.
