Waltham Schools Closed Tuesday, Snow Emergency Declared

Here's what you need to know about the upcoming storm.

WALTHAM, MA – Waltham Public Schools will be closed Tuesday in light of Winter Storm Stella, the district announced Monday.

A snow emergency has also been declared in the city, effective Tuesday, March 14 at 6 a.m.

A parking ban will be in place, and there will be no parking on city streets. Violators may be subject to tow. If you are unable to park in a driveway during a parking ban, you may use any municipal or school parking lot and you do not have to pay the meters to park (only applicable when parking ban is in effect).

Residents may start moving cars into parking lots overnight, beginning at 6 p.m. Monday night. Please make note of the policy on removal of cars after the ban has been lifted, and see a map of all municipal and school parking options here: http://bit.ly/ParkingOptions.

Trash/recycling pickup will continue as scheduled.
