Waltham Schools Opening Late Due To Winter Weather
The district has instituted a two-hour delay for Tuesday.
WALTHAM, MA — Waltham students will get a few extra hours to sleep in on Tuesday.
District officials announced that Waltham Public Schools would institute a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday due to the winter weather.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect in eastern Massachusetts Monday from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The region could see up to 6 inches of snow.

The forecast calls for the heaviest snowfall coming Monday night, resulting in difficult travel conditions. Wind gusts of up to 35 mph are also expected.
