WALTHAM, MA – Sorry, students - it's about that time of year again.
Waltham students are due back in school Tues., Aug. 30.
But there is good news - the first week of school is capped by a four-day weekend, as students have Fri., Sept. 2 and Mon., Sep. 5 off for Labor Day.

If the first day of school seems like it snuck up on you, you're not alone. According to CNN, many schools nationwide start before the end of August, and some even in July.
