Waltham Senior Center Programs, Activities To Resume

The senior center will gradually re-open throughout August and September.

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham Senior Center programs and activities are set to resume gradually beginning and August and will return to the pre-pandemic schedule by early September.

The senior center closed due to COVID-19 on March 16, 2020 and has continued to offer some virtual programs and activities, including fitness classes. Starting in August, however, the senior center will begin offering in-person art and exercise classes and games.

The Waltham Council on Aging transportation program will also start up again on August 23, offering shuttle services Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vans are available for medical appointments, rides to the senior center, and social visits.
