Ron Vanaria, known equally for hard work and humble heart, is the skipper steering this Show Band ship headlong into big band waves, jazzy solos, curling riffs and sambas smashing soft rocks before landing on a cool smooth shoreline.

A herring bone sky over raspberry sherbet at the end of the evening saw appreciation and warm applause for graduated seniors still on hand and the elusive Augustus Winterbottom, seen loading the truck after dark, some of his crew headed for a music program, some headed for a brand new high school up the street.
