Waltham Stabbing Suspect Arrested

WALTHAM, MA – A man who police say stabbed his girlfriend's mother earlier this week was arrested Friday evening. Ping Hong, 32, was taken into custody at South Station in Boston.

Hong allegedly stabbed the woman on Howard Street around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim suffered serious injuries from several stab wounds, police said. She was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Hong remained at large for three days and was thought to be headed toward the Connecticut/New York area. Massachusetts State Police and MBTA Transit Police assisted in the arrest.
