Waltham Students Have A Shot At A City Scholarship: How To Apply
Applications for the annual funds, which can go toward a wide variety of postsecondary education, are due in two weeks.
WALTHAM, MA — Waltham students have a shot at an annual, city-funded scholarship for postsecondary education, but must apply by Feb. 13.
The scholarship fund, established in 1987, is open to any Waltham resident for college, trade school, certificate programs, graduate school or other education approved by a city committee, a news release says.
Details about the fund and typical scholarship sizes were not disclosed.

The scholarship application requests previous grade transcripts and information about awards, activities and work experience. Applicants are also asked to provide a biographical sketch showing examples of their "industry, ingenuity and character."
Waltham High School seniors should apply using a generic form available from the school's guidance department, and other residents can apply using this link.
