WALTHAM, MA - Waltham High School's Music Unlimited will perform Friday in the semifinals of "Sing That Thing!" on WGBH 2.

Music Unlimited is one of six remaining teams in the competition, which showcases amateur talent from across New England.

Hosted by Boston Children’s Chorus Artistic Director Anthony Trecek-King, the contest divides 24 teams from Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut into three categories - high school, collegiate and adult - and includes a cappella, jazz, spiritual, hip hop, show choir and classical performances over the course of eight episodes.

The celebration of various genres culminates in a finale, where the top group from each category performs a medley of selected numbers.

Each team receives instruction from coaches Larry Watson, Annette Philip and Jared Bowen, as well as leaders in the local performing community like MIT Director of Choral Programs Bill Cutter and Rockapella member Charlie Evett, in Master Classes after each performance.
