WALTHAM, MA — The City of Waltham's 12th annual Riverfest return this year on Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8 on Moody St. along the Charles River.

Riverfest, which was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will take place Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and feature live music performances, outdoor dining and drinks, children's activities, storytelling, a nature walk, and canoe and kayak rentals.

“I’m so pleased that we’re able to revive, albeit on a somewhat smaller scale, this event that thousands of people in Waltham and surrounding areas have looked forward to for years," said Lead Organizer Sarah Hankins in a statement. "After a period of isolation and shut-downs, this will be an exciting time to get back out, see friends and neighbors, and see much of what Waltham has to offer.”
