Waltham's Legion Band Needs Instruments, Sound: Can You Help?

The Waltham American Legion Band has been making sounds together, and entertaining in the area since 1948. In fact, this group is the first American band to ever perform in the USSR.

The Waltham American Legion Band, according to a plea posted on Craigslist, is a community organization consisting of three entities: a Concert Band, a Marching Band and a Trolley Band. Membership is open to all ages and there are no fees or auditions and no affiliation with the military is needed.

The band supports itself through paid performances, fund raisers and donations, reads the post, and contributes to educational causes and local scholarships for young people interested in music. Members volunteer their time and donate their services to support all entities and efforts.

All this said, they need your help. The band is looking for donations of various wind, brass and drum/percussion instruments. They are also looking for a sound system that they can install on the trolley. Find out more.
