Waltham's Memorial Day Services and Events

Waltham commemorates those we've lost in its annual Memorial Day services.

Waltham holds several Memorial Day events.

The City announced the following:

May 11-15: Flags placed at local cemeteries

May 20: Plympton School children place flags at Mt. Feake Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

May 21: Henry Whittemore School children place flags at Calvary Cemetery at 10 a.m.

May 23: National Guard Veterans and Boy Scouts place flags at the Mount Feake Cemetery lower lot at 9:45 a.m.

May 24: John M. Sullivan Memorial Service takes place at 9 a.m. at the corner of Lincoln and Lake Streets. The Veterans Memorial Church service takes place at Our Lady of Comforter’s Afflicted, 920 Trapelo Road, at 11 a.m.

May 25: Gold Star Mothers’ Memorial service takes place at 9 a.m. at the Prospect Street bridge. Memorial Day services held on Waltham Common at 10 a.m. Meet at the Raytheon parking lot on Elm Street at 9:30 a.m.
