Waltham's Peter Koutoujian Begins 3rd Term As Middlesex Sheriff
Koutoujian officially began his third term earlier this week after a swearing-in ceremony in Waltham.

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham native Peter Koutoujian was sworn in for his third term as Middlesex Sheriff on Sunday.
Koutoujian, who ran unopposed for the position, was sworn in during a ceremony in his hometown of Waltham.
"Please join us in congratulating Sheriff Peter Koutoujian who began his new term of office this afternoon. The Sheriff was sworn-in by Secretary of the Commonwealth Bill Galvin in a ceremony in his hometown of Waltham," the Sheriff's Office said.

Local police departments also congratulated Koutoujian.
"Congratulations to Sheriff Koutoujian on his re-election for his third term. We look forward to our continuing partnership with him and the Middlesex Sheriff's Office," the Framingham Police Department said.

"Can’t wait to continue the great work we are doing at @msosheriff," said Koutoujian. "Thank you so much to all who came out to celebrate with me and my family."
Koutoujian began his career in politics as a state representative, where he oversaw Massachusetts’ healthcare priorities as Chairman of the Committee on Health Care.
