Waltham's Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall: Volunteers Needed

The wall will be open to visits 24 hours a day from Aug. 10 to 15; volunteers are needed to provide a presence at the wall overnight.

Waltham, MA – The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall is coming to Waltham in August.

The half-sized replica of the Washington, D.C. monument will be on display from Aug. 10 to 15 at the Grove Street entrance of Gore Place.

The idea for the moving wall originated in 1982, when Vietnam veteran John Devitt set out to bring the experience of the wall to those not able to take the trip to Washington, D.C. Together with Norris Shears, Gerry Haver, and other Vietnam veteran volunteers, Devitt built the moving wall.
