WALTHAM, MA — Waverley Oaks Athletic Club in Waltham has raised $13,868 for the American Cancer Society through its 8th annual Pedal to End Cancer initiative.
The event took place on Sunday, April 6 with 30 riders and dozens of supporters collectively raising funds for the cause while honoring cancer survivors. The donation will help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, critical patient care services, education, prevention initiatives, and much more.
“Cancer has touched each of us in one way or another, and every year this fundraiser is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the community, support each other and have some fun along the way,” Adam Healy, General Manager at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club, said in a statement. “We look forward to supporting this cause for many years to come.”
