WATCH: Adorable Council Votes for Snow Day at Waltham School
The "Baby Snow Day Council" is comprised of children of faculty and staff at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School.
WALTHAM, MA – Ever wonder how a snow day gets called? Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School in Waltham peeled back the curtain on a decision that usually takes place behind closed doors, and it's a lot more adorable than you think.
The super-secret "Baby Snow Day Council" – comprised of children of faculty and staff at the school – are the ones pulling the strings when it comes to canceling school. In a video posted to Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall's YouTube page, Head of School Lance Conrad pleads his case to the council for a snow day.
After clearing up a bit of confusion (the "Baby Snow Day Council" initially mistook him for Elmo and Bob the Builder) Conrad puts the kids to sleep with charts about boring things like "weather patterns" and "attendance rates."
