WATCH: Waltham Mayor Swings Into New Plympton School Playground
Mayor McCarthy took the first ride on the zipline at the newly renovated Drake Playground.
WALTHAM, MA – The newly renovated Drake Playground reopened yesterday at Plympton Elementary School with a ribbon cutting ceremony for kids to test out the new equipment.
Not wanting to miss out on the fun, Waltham Mayor Jeannette McCarthy took the inaugural ride on the zipline, a new addition to the playground.

According to the Waltham News Tribune, the playground and spray park are among a series of playground improvement projects in the city, which include the Peter Gilmore Playground, Elsie Turner Field and Graverson Playground, Hillcroft Playground and Koutoujian Playground.
