Waverley Oaks Athletic Club Recognized for Exceptional Member Experience
Recognized among the industry's best, Waverley Oaks continues to elevate the member experience.

Waverley Oaks Athletic Club is proud to announce it has been named a winner in the 7th Annual MXM Locations of Excellence Awards. This recognition highlights the Club’s continued commitment to gathering and acting on member feedback while delivering an exceptional member experience.
Waverley Oaks, a six-time recipient, is one of just 44 fitness clubs to earn this distinction.
Winners are selected based on two key criteria: a statistically significant volume of member feedback responses during the final six months of 2025, and an average score of 9 or higher across four required categories, plus a score of 9 in one additional flex category.

Originally opened as a racquetball club in 1979, Waverley Oaks has grown into a modern, full-service fitness destination. Owned and operated by Duffy Properties - a Waltham-based, family-owned property management, construction, and real estate development company - the Club underwent a complete renovation in 2015, transforming it into a state-of-the-art, 50,000-square-foot facility. An additional renovation in 2022 repurposed nearly 2,000 square feet of space to further enhance offerings.
“Medallia’s platform allows us to seamlessly engage with our diverse membership base and better understand what matters most to them,” Healy added.
Over the past year, Waverley Oaks expanded its already robust programming to include more than 100 group fitness classes and programs. In late 2025, the Club introduced The Wellness Center, a serene, thoughtfully designed space offering services such as Passive Stretch, Reiki Energy Healing, and other holistic wellness experiences.
“Community is at the core of who we are,” said Dory Berman, Retention Manager at Waverley Oaks. “We have members who have been with us for decades and are now sharing the Club with the next generation. By prioritizing an inclusive culture, we create an environment where everyone feels supported, connected, and motivated on their wellness journey.”
As a premier destination for health and wellness in Waltham and surrounding communities, Waverley Oaks remains committed to providing a welcoming, multi-generational environment with programs and services designed to support a wide range of fitness goals.
