Weekend Planner for Feb. 11 - Feb. 13

It's Thursday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We've got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our weekend picks. Whatever your choice in music, we have it covered!

  • Where/When: - Friday, 8:15 p.m.
  • Why Go:  It’s a dance party!  There will be a polka contest, ballroom, and Latin dancing.  Lessons begin at 8:15 p.m., dancing at 9 p.m. 
  • Pricing: $15 non-members, $12 members.

  • Where/When: The - Saturday, 10 a.m  to 1 p.m.
  • Why Go:  Start your weekend off with tips on how to energize your life by understanding the influences of the mind.
  • Pricing: Free.

  • Where/When: - Saturday, 8 p.m. to midnight.
  • Why Go:  Take a beginners’ swing dance lesson, then dance the night away to the music of “Sax” Gordon Beadle.
  • Pricing: $15, $10 for students.

  • Where/When:  First Parish of Watertown - Saturday, 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: Great folk music featuring Lorraine and Bennett Hammond. A fun evening for all ages.
  • Pricing:  $15 for general admission, $10 for FSSGB members and students, children 17 and under – free.

  • Where/When:   - Saturday, 8 p.m.
  • Why Go:  A concert featuring musicians from Yale University and “Big Chimney.”
  • Pricing: $20, $10 Brandeis community, $5 students.

Piano Concert - Duo Con Anima

  • Where/When:   - Sunday, 2:30 p.m.
  • Why Go:  2 pianos, 4 hands!  Fern Abrams and Joan Garniss will perform the music of Wolf, Beethoven, Hensel, Brahms, Van Slyke, and Reger.
  • Pricing: Free.
